Privacy Policy

DevToolBox (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates devtoolbox.ai. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site and our free developer tools.

1. Client-side tools (most of the site)

The majority of tools run entirely in your browser. Text you paste (JSON, tokens, passwords, source code, images converted in-browser, etc.) is processed locally with JavaScript and browser APIs. That content is not uploaded to our servers and we do not store it in a database.

If you leave or refresh the page, in-memory tool input is discarded unless you copy it yourself. We do not provide cloud sync of tool data.

2. Network / lookup tools

Some tools must contact public internet services to work, for example:

In those cases, your browser requests public RDAP or similar endpoints with the domain or IP you enter. We do not operate those registries. Data returned is shown to you in the page and is subject to the policies of the registry operators. We do not maintain a history of your lookups on our backend for those client-initiated requests.

3. Server logs and hosting

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps when you load pages or static assets. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability—not for building profiles of tool input content.

4. Cookies and local storage

We may use limited browser storage for site preferences or to improve the experience. Third-party advertising or analytics partners (if enabled) may set their own cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Advertising

We may display ads through third-party networks (for example Google AdSense, Adsterra, or similar). Those partners may collect device and usage data according to their own privacy policies to deliver and measure ads. We do not sell the content you paste into tools to advertisers.

If ads are active, review the ad network’s policy for opt-outs and data practices. For Google users, tools such as Ads Settings may apply.

6. Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious or standard analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, device type). This helps us prioritize which tools to improve. Analytics do not need access to the confidential payloads you paste into formatters or generators.

7. Children

The site is aimed at a general technical audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Third-party links

Tools or pages may link to external documentation or services. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy only covers DevToolBox.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when material changes are made.
